If you have an outdoor pet, make sure that you regularly clean up after they poop. This is a commonly missed problem that many people fail to act upon.
Most dogs will not like to have to walk around in their own feces, nor should they have to.
During the winter months, many owners simply take their pets out, let them do their business, and then bring them inside. We get cold, it happens. If your in an area that gets snow, these poop-cicles will get lost for a while. Until the spring thaw happens and out comes a big pile of dog poop.
Whether you bury the poop, toss it into the woods, or whatever you do with it, make sure to clean it from the area where your pets are walking every day.
When your pet comes out in the warmer or rainy season, this feces will spread melt or get wet and start carrying bacteria and germs all over the place. It will get on their paws and can contaminate every thing, or everyone.
Remember they give you their paws for treats, they lick their paws and offer kisses, they have to walk around inside the house, and who knows what they could be carrying at that point.
So make sure that your pet is not walking around in old fecal matter. This could keep both you and your pet from getting extremely sick or worse.
